Jedi Brute - Jedi Advanced Path

Jedi Brute:

Jedi Brute was once a term used by the Jedi Order to describe one of three Jedi-held ranks in the Coruscant Jedi Temple Security Force. Alongside the Gate Master and the snipers, brutes were the Temple's first line of defense from troublemakers, zealots, and rioters until recent years. The rank of Temple Brute dates as far back as the Ruusan Reformation and the reorganization of the Jedi Order by Grand Master Fae Coven. Codifying the ranks and duties of the Jedi in her handbook called The Jedi Path: A Manual for Students of the Force, the term was used up until the dissolution of the Order in 19 BBY. When the Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic was revealed to be a Sith Lord, he quickly ordered the Grand Army of the Republic to turn on the Jedi before they could remove the Sith from office. Darth Vader, the Sith Lord Darth Sidious' new apprentice led the 501st Legion against the Temple conducting Operation: Knightfall as part of Contingency Order 66. The Brutes of the Temple defended it valiantly against the Sith and his army but were vastly outnumbered. By the end of the night, the brutes were largely, if not completely, routed however they soon replenished years later.

Masters of the battlefield, the Jedi Brutes are the martial arm of the Jedi Order. They bring the enemies of the Jedi to their knees through martial prowess augmented by the Force. In all the Jedi Order there are none more skilled in the art of combat than the Jedi Brutes. The Jedi Brutes were born in battle. The Hundred Year Darkness was their womb and those Jedi who fought on the front lines were forever marked by their Order’s bloody birth.

Jedi Weapon Training: At level five the Sith Brute learns to fight with the traditional weapons of the Jedi. If the Jedi Brute is already trained with using Lightsabers then he gains a rank in the Jedi Katana combat proficiency, if he isn't already able to use Lightsabers then he learns to use single-bladed Lightsabers and gains a rank in the Shii Cho form.

Soul Seeker, Soul Destroyer, and Slayer: The Jedi Brute is specially trained to fight the Jedi’s ancient enemy, the Sith and the newly emerged Jensaarai. At level six the Jedi Brute is known as a Soul Seeker and any damage he does against a Sith or Jensaarai is one and half times the usual amount. At level ten he becomes a Soul Destroyer and the damage multiplier against Sith or Jensaarai is increased to two times. Finally, at level thirteen, the Jedi Brute becomes a Soul Slayer; any damage he does against a Sith or Jensaarai is increased to two and a half times the normal amount.

Weapon Focus: At seventh level the Marauder gains the Weapon Focus perk. He gets to choose the weapon.

Dodge: At level eight the Jedi Brute gains the Dodge perk even if he doesn’t meet the prerequisites. Should the Jedi Brute already possess the Dodge perk then he may take a combat-oriented perk of his choice.

Martial Arts: At ninth level the Jedi Brute gains the Martial Arts perk. If he already possesses this perk then he may choose a different combat-oriented one instead.

Authority On War: At eleventh level the Jedi Brute chooses a specific type of military unit (infantry, cavalry, marine, grenadier, etc.) that he has been trained to be part of. When fighting in this sort of group he fights more effectively than normal.

Lightsaber Mastery: At level twelve the Jedi Brute gains a rank in the Lightsaber Form of his choice.

Masters Of War: The many battles the Jedi Brute has fought in have taught him how to effectively lead a unit in combat. When in a unit of the same type as his Authority Of War ability the others in the squad receive the same benefits as the Jedi Brute does from Authority Of War.
